Mount Catherine & Wadi Esla: 4-Day Adventure
Departure from Cairo on Thursday, May 16th, at 11 PM.
Day 1: We arrive at St. Catherine in the morning, enjoy breakfast, and begin our ascent of Mount Catherine to witness the stunning sunset from the summit.
(Each hiker will carry a backpack containing water, snacks, cap or keffieyeh, and sunglasses, weighing no more than 3kg. Camels will transport our camping gear and dinner.)
Day 2: After breakfast and a magnificent sunrise, we descend the mount from its western face, then drive 4×4 vehicles to Wadi Al-Neimaniya, where we’ll camp.
Day 3: The day starts with breakfast, following by the commencement of our hike in Wadi Esla, planning to camp in Wadi Karam Meallem by nightfall.
Day 4: Following Breakfast, we continue our hike past the dams, concluding at Al-Matlab Rock (the requesting rock) in Sahl El-Qaa. We then Take pick-up vehicles to Al-Tur city, where an optional lunch (not included in the package price) awaits before returning to Cairo.
Package price includes: Meals (4 Breakfasts and 3 dinners), camels to carry our luggage, busses from Cairo to St. Catherine and from Al-Tur to Cairo, pick-up vehicles, professional photographer, Bedouin guides along the hike, and tents for changing clothes.
