Mount Catherine

Mount Catherine, the highest mountain in Egypt, stands at (2,629-2,637) meters. It is located near the town of Saint Catherine in the South Sinai Governorate. The mountain’s name originates from Christian tradition, which holds that angels transported to it the body of the martyred Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
