Hamata mountain 4 days camping & hiking
Professional level : Hamata mountain is known to be the toughest of all mountains in the red sea mountain range and in all of Egypt for many factors:
Its height, its location among a very rough mountain and canyon range, and the distance from the nearest beaten spot to the starting point of the route to the mountain being more than 30 kilometers. You walk all this distance to the foot of the mountain carrying all of the food and tools you’re gonna need throughout this time. The weights are divided along the number of camping points, with the distance traveled divided into four parts during the day.
The day to reach the summit is considered the most difficult and dangerous. On all days of the trip, there will be no moonlight because it will be the beginning of the Arab month known as Jumada al-Awwal, along with some cold and strong winds at night on all days of the ascent.
The difficulty of the mountain increases as the slope of the summit increases to 40 degrees. When ascending, the slope ranges from 25 degrees to 35 degrees and even more in some places, and every climber needs assistance and the use of all limbs to pass between giant rocky obstacles and boulders.
